Actors Workshop Series

Kick off Good Theater’s 2025-26 Actors Workshop Series with an Audition Workshop designed to help actors sharpen their skills in a supportive, professional setting. This is the first of eight FREE workshops Good Theater will offer throughout the season, covering topics like singing, improv, stage combat, scene study, and movement for actors. All workshops will be led by Maine-based professional actors, musicians, performers, and creatives.

Stevens Square Theater, 631 Stevens Avenue, Portland

• Tuesday, May 6 | 6:30 – 9:00 PM

• Saturday, May 10 | 2:00 – 5:00 PM

🎭 What to Expect:

Led by Good Theater Artistic Director Brian P. Allen and director Nathan Gregory, each session (capped at 20 actors) will include:

• Individual work on an audition piece you bring (monologue, sides, or a song)

• Constructive feedback to refine your audition approach

• A cold-read workout with materials provided by Good Theater (depending on time)

• Actors are invited to attend ONE of the workshops (not both).

• First come, first served – spots are limited to 20 actors per class!

• This workshop is open to actors ages 18 and up.

• If the workshop fills up, a waitlist will be available. If you can no longer attend, please let us know so we can offer your spot to another participant.

• Actors must sign up in advance to attend the audition workshop, as we are unable to accommodate walk-ins due to time constraints.

• A confirmation email with further details will be sent to all registered participants in the coming weeks. Actors on the waitlist will also be notified of their status.
